A supernova is a powerful and luminous stellar explosion which often causes an annular light effect in the galaxy. Supernovae can be up to five billion times brighter than the sun and fuse elements such as uranium, tin and gold. The pieces are made by using Incalmo technique and silver nitrate mirror coating.
